A Bespoke Ceylon Sapphire Ring
A recent commission, created for a client who wanted something timeless but individual.
The ring features a pale green Ceylon sapphire which has been freeform polished to preserve its natural shape and set in yellow gold. I shaped the ring around the stone’s gentle curves, allowing the metal to echo its organic form. The result is a piece that feels ancient and modern at once, as though it could have been unearthed from another time.
This is the kind of piece I love to make: personal, subtle, and full of discreet strength. An alternative to the traditional diamond solitaire, yet still made from precious materials that will last a lifetime.
If you’d like to commission a ring or discuss a special piece, I’ll be at the N4 Market later this month on Saturday 29th November in Stoke Newington in London. It will be a lovely chance to see my work in person and talk about ideas.
