A story on remodelling jewellery: giving a pair of earrings a new life
This pair of earrings began life very differently.
When my client came to me, she had a jewels she no longer wore. They held value both materially and emotionally but they no longer felt like her.

Rather than starting from scratch, we looked closely at what was already there. We decided to keep the top section of the earrings and rework the rest into something entirely new.
The redesign was inspired by my sequin collection, introducing a softer, more fluid movement to the new jewel. The new elements bring a sense of lightness and rhythm, transforming the earrings into something that feels both contemporary and personal.

Remodelling isn’t always about melting everything down and beginning again.Sometimes it’s about recognising what still works, what still holds meaning and building around it.
There is great satisfaction in this process. A piece evolves. Its history is not lost, but carried forward in a different form.
Each remodelling project is unique. Some pieces are completely reimagined, others are subtly adjusted. But the starting point is always the same: looking carefully at what exists, and considering what it could become.

For this pair, the result is a piece that feels entirely new, while still holding a connection to its past.
