The Origin of the Molten setting Method – 15 Years in the Making

People often ask how my signature molten setting style came to be.
It began over 15 years ago when I was experimenting with precious metal clay and managed to set a few rough diamonds with no instructions and no formal training.
Just a strong desire to create something raw, honest, and beautiful.
That first spark led me on a path away from cast jewellery and toward a technique I would eventually develop into my own.
Over time, I began setting gemstones directly into gold and silver using hand torch and pressure, responding to the shape of each stone with care and instinct.
This is not a setting style you can learn from a book.
It evolved through countless hours of making, failing, and refining.
Every piece I create holds the emotional imprint of the process.
I do not use templates.
I do not mass produce.
Each jewel is a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art, shaped entirely by hand.
This is what sets my work apart. This is what makes it mine.
If you’re seeking original molten setting jewellery, crafted slowly and intentionally in London, my September shop update will include several one-of-a-kind jewels shaped using this very technique.
