A playful, sculptural sterling silver ring featuring a beautiful faceted blue sapphire and movable silver elements. Part of my Abacus series, a design I have returned to over the years, exploring the relationship between jewellery, movement and touch.
Handcrafted in my North London studio, the ring features a 4mm blue sapphire nestled between textured sterling silver elements. Inspired by the movement of an abacus, the individual components can move along the band, creating a tactile, kinetic piece of jewellery that invites interaction.
Part ring, part miniature sculpture, the Abacus is designed to be worn, touched and played with. A contemporary take on the traditional gemstone ring, with a little of the charm of a fidget ring.
