This bespoke ring was created as a remodel, using the client’s own gold and diamonds to form a bold, sculptural piece.Handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, the ring takes the form of a classic bombé style, with a softly rounded profile and a richly textured surface, scattered with diamonds.
The Story Behind the Piece
My client came to me with gold and diamonds she no longer wore.She wanted to transform these materials into something more contemporary into a jewel that felt substantial, wearable, and reflective of her style now.
Rather than redesigning something delicate, we chose to create a statement ring that would give the materials a new presence.
The Design Process
The ring was designed as a bombé form, allowing the gold to create volume and softness across the finger.The surface was hand-worked with a hammered texture, giving it depth and a slightly irregular, organic quality.The client’s diamonds were then set across the surface in a scattered arrangement, with a central stone anchoring the design and smaller stones catching the light around it.
The Finished Piece
The result is a ring that feels both bold and wearable.The curved form sits comfortably on the hand, while the textured gold and scattered diamonds create a sense of movement and light.A piece that transforms existing materials into something modern, personal, and enduring.
