These bespoke rough diamond stud earrings were created as a simple, wearable commission, made in sterling silver using my signature molten-style setting.
Each earring is set with a natural rough diamond, chosen by the client for its individual character and form.
The Story Behind the Piece
These earrings were commissioned as a birthday gift.
My client had previously commissioned a molten-set rough diamond ring from me, and wanted a pair of earrings to sit alongside it, something that felt connected, but not overly matched.She was drawn to the simplicity of my molten stud earrings, a style I have been developing and refining over many years.
The Design Process
The design is intentionally minimal.The focus is on the stones themselves, rough diamonds with natural texture and variation, held within soft, molten-style silver forms.
By allowing the client to choose the stones, the piece becomes more personal, with each diamond bringing its own shape and presence to the final pair.
The Finished Piece
The result is a pair of understated, everyday earrings.The silver settings have a soft, organic quality, while the rough diamonds add subtle texture and light. Easy to wear, but with a quiet individuality.A continuation of a story, rather than a standalone piece.
