These bespoke wedding rings were created as a pair which I handcrafted in platinum and 18ct yellow gold and each set with a diamond.
Formed as entwined snake rings, the designs wrap gently around the finger, with each head holding a single diamond.
The Story Behind the Piece
These rings have evolved over time.Years ago, I created a simple entwined ring, a soft, flowing form as a symbol of being entwined with another. Later, a client asked me to reinterpret that design as a snake, bringing a new layer of symbolism to the piece.
More recently, I was commissioned to create a bespoke pair of wedding rings for a client based abroad. He was drawn to this snake interpretation and wanted a version for both himself and his partner.
The Design Process
I hand-crafted each ring directly in metal, allowing the form to develop organically.
I refined the snake motif into a clean, wearable design, with the bodies wrapping naturally around the finger. I then set a diamond into each head, adding a subtle point of light and focus.Although connected in concept, the rings were made to suit each wearer, one in platinum using a thicker wire, the other in 18ct yellow gold, creating a pair that is cohesive without being identical.
The Finished Piece
The result is a pair of rings that feel both symbolic and understated. The entwined form suggests connection and continuity, while the simplicity of the design keeps them wearable as everyday pieces.
