A natural 0.5ct pale grey rough diamond sits East West across the finger in this simple, sculptural lozenge ring. The elongated setting gives the diamond a distinctive horizontal silhouette, while the raw round sterling silver band brings an elemental quality to the design.
Handcrafted using my signature molten setting technique, the silver is worked directly around the individual rough diamond, creating an organic lozenge shaped setting that follows the natural form of the stone. The softly textured 2mm round band retains the character of jewellery made by hand, contrasting with the subtle lustre of the diamond.
Every rough diamond is individual by nature, with its own shape, inclusions and surface characteristics, making each version of this ring unique. Designed to be worn alone or stacked, it is a contemporary alternative diamond ring with a simple, ancient modern feel.
