Six white glossy rough diamonds come together in this one of a kind statement necklace, arranged into a strong triangular formation with a total diamond weight of 2.5ct. Part of my Rough Geometry series, the design explores the contrast between the natural individuality of rough diamonds and the order created by placing them within a precise geometric form.
Each diamond is individually set by hand in 18ct yellow gold using my signature molten setting technique. The organic gold settings respond to the irregular shape of each stone, retaining the textures and marks of the making process while allowing the natural surfaces of the diamonds to remain the focus.
Ancient matter meets modern geometry in a jewel that is both elemental and architectural. The repetition of six completely individual diamonds creates a new visual language, making Rough Geometry #2 a unique statement piece and a celebration of beauty without uniformity.
